Equip your Kids & Youth ministry teams to be trauma-informed.

The Homeward Project Trauma-informed Training is designed for you to equip your Kids and Youth Ministry staff and volunteers with understanding of how and why a child from a “hard place” or with a difficult history may behave differently in a church environment. Facilitate this training with your team to empower them with greater knowledge and practical strategies to ensure your programs are safe and inclusive for all children and young people. This training is designed at an introductory level and to be facilitated in under two hours.

The Homeward Project team will provide training and support for you to deliver the training using these resources:

FAQs

  • How much does the training cost?

This training resource is made available for free. This training is available as part of The Homeward Project model of resources and support for churches to develop holistic ministry of Out-of-Home Care. Please visit homewardproject.org for more information and to access other resources.

  • How long is the training?

To complete all sections of the training and allow time for discussion, you will need a minimum of two hours.
